Current Planning

The Planning and Environmental Resources Department is responsible for the administration of all ordinances applicable to land use planning for the unincorporated areas of Monroe County. Main responsibilities include responding to inquiries and offering customer service to the community, reviewing planning applications for compliance with regulations and plans, and updating and amending the land development regulations.
